Big Sean in Vibe

Vibe Magazine rolled out their newest digital issue today, featuring a cover story with Big Sean, who recently dropped his sophomore album, Hall Of Fame. During the lengthy interview, the G.O.O.D. Music rapper addresses his relationship with his ex-girlfriend Ashley (who he has a song dedicated to on the album,) and the recent controversy surrounding her, himself and his new girlfriend, Naya Rivera. The latter put out her debut single “Sorry” last month (featuring a verse from her beau Sean,) and in it, name-dropped a few girls that she’s not really sorry for it not working out with her man. The issue was though she said rather generic names (Amber, Brittany, Tiffany, Ashley)…a majority of them were names of girls that Sean had actually dated. Check out what Sean had to say about that below.

Marisa Mendez

I recently hit [Ashley] up because there was a lot of confusion going on. My girl Naya put out a song, and a lot of people were like ‘Aw she said all these names at the end, she said Ashley.’ When I really heard the song, I didn’t even think about it like that. She’s saying Amber, Brittany, Tiffany—those were just random names, there’s 4 million girls with the name Ashley. People took that attention from the song opposed to it being a song that they can relate to and have fun with.
