24 year old math teacher Donovan Dickson, who worked in the elite Peddie School in New Jersey, jumped to his death off the George Washington Bridge. Police were investigating allegations of a teacher having a sexual relationship with a student on his campus, the same day Dickson committed suicide. He reportedly jumped from the walkway of the bridge and landed below on a patch of gravel. It is unclear weather Donovan Dickson is the teacher that was suspected of the foul behavior. Peter Quinn, the headmaster of the private school, mentioned “troubling events” in a school letter to parents. Quinn stated:
“Please know that every step we have taken in the last few days and will take in the days moving forward we are taking with the safety and well-being are always our top priority. The broad outlines of those events are known; the details I cannot discuss.”
