Port Authority officers arrested a 29 year old Long Island man, Timothy Schiavo, at JFK airport for trying to board a Jetblue plane with a bag full of weapons. When he was stopped at a screening station in the airport, Schiavo admitted to owning the items and being a knife collector. According to TSA rules, passengers are allowed to travel with knives and scissors, as long as it is held in their checked in luggage. Lighters are completely banned. Timothy Schiavo was charged with criminal possession of a weapon.
