14 year old Philip Chism is in custody after allegedly killing his math teacher, Colleen Ritzer, inside of their Massachusetts high school and dumping her body behind the school. Officials claim that he followed the teacher inside of the bathroom and attacked her with a box cutter. Now Chism’s uncle, Terrance Chism Blaine is speaking out to say he’s skeptical of the charges and describes his nephew as a “perfect kid.” To read more and see news footage, click below.
Blaine says he hasn’t spoken to his nephew’s parents since the gruesome murders, nor has he seen his nephew in more than a year. Here’s what the uncle had to say about Philip’s arrest: “They are saying…that he confessed to doing it. I don’t believe it. I’m wondering, did they badger him into saying it.” Investigators say that they have footage from surveillance cameras showing Philip covered in blood and wheeling a recycle bin out of the bathroom where Ritzer was murdered. Police have not yet released the motive for the murder.
