A woman was arrested in Montreal’s Trudeau International Airport for trying to smuggle cocaine filled pumpkins. Border police report Mercedes Jerez Farias tried to hide 4 pounds of cocaine in carved pumpkins and sneak them into Canada. To read more, click below.
26 year old, Farias, was charged with importing drugs and drug possession for the purpose of drug trafficking. Scanning equipment uncovered her plot, showing the pumpkins were hollowed and filled with a chalky substance. The Royal Canadian Mounted Police are now conducting an investigation.
