The latest case of the flesh eating, Krakodil drug has officially been reported in Ohio, after the hospitalization of a homeless man. The homeless man showed up to the hospital with big black lesions after taking a drug called Krakodil, that is labeled after its blistering side effects.

Cases of the flesh eating drug that is made by combining crushed codeine pills and “house hold hydrocarbons such as paint thinners and gasoline,” have been reported in Arizona, Illinois, and Oklahoma. The dry has gained its popularity due to its potentness and overall being more cheap than heroin, its substitute/competition drug.

“You literally start rotting from the inside out,” stated, Dr. Abhin Singla, who reportedly treated krokodil users in Joliet, Ill.. “It’s a horrific way to get sick. “Intensive treatment and skin grafts are required, but they are often not enough to save limbs or lives.”

There are opposers offering another diagnosis to the strange blisters, stating that the Krakodil drug has been misperceived as the effects of possible dirty drug needle usage.
