During happier times one thing Khloe Kardashian wanted more than ever was to have a child with her husband Lamar Odom. She even let the cameras in and showcased her fertility struggles on “Keeping Up With the Kardashians”. Things have gone downhill since then after Odom’s reported drug addiction and infidelity has left the couple estranged. There’s been whisperings of a divorce looming although no official papers have been signed and now Khloe is happy the two didn’t have children to be involved in the mess.
Khloe, 29, feels that Lamar’s alleged drug use and infidelities would have left their would-be family in shambles, a source close to the couple tells HollywoodLife.com.
“She’s pretty relieved she didn’t have a kid with Lamar a few years ago,” the source reveals. “With all this going on with Lamar, the lies and the drugs and then a child on top of all that, Khloe would have been a train wreck.”
We’re told that it’s very important to Khloe that her potential child be raised by two parents.
“She’s traditional in the sense that she believes in a two parents raising a child in the home together,” the source says. “She loved her father with every fiber in her being, and to think that Lamar wouldn’t be there for her and their child if they had had one would kill her.
“She’s so thankful she didn’t have to go through that,” the source adds.
