A fire trucked slammed into an SUV on Friday morning as it was heading north up Laconia Ave. in the Bronx. 4 people were injured, 2 critically after the accident, which occurred at 8:30 a.m. The victims were taken to Jacobi Hospital, but are all expected to survive the crash. One witness reports that the fire fighters jumped right out of their truck to help the victims. One firefighter was treated for minor injuries. There has been no word whether the firetruck was responding to an emergency.
