Schoolboy Q sat down with Complex and named his 25 favorite albums, and to no surprise Black Hippy makes its way all through the list!
When it comes to ScHoolboy Q’s Top 25, his most favorite album, and #1 is his very own ‘Oxymoron’! He stated that his upcoming project is like no other:
“Oxymoron is way different from my previous projects. It’s crazy. If you’ve heard Break The Bank, it’s kinda similar to that. It’s an album that needed to be put out, to be heard, so I took my time with it, got all the right rappers. I didn’t go get a million features on my shit, just a few, and made this shit happen”
Q gave the #2 – #6 spots to Black Hippy and himself:
#2 Ab-Soul’s ‘Control System’ (one of my personal favorites), #3. Kendrick’s ‘good kid, M.A.A.D City’, #4 Q’s ‘Habits & Contradictions’, #5 Setbacks, #6 Jay Rock’s ‘Follow Me Home’.
N.E.R.D’s ‘Seeing Sounds’ classic landed at #7, 50’s ‘Get Rich Or die Trying’ was #8, Nas’ ‘Stillmatic’ came in at #9, and Ghostface Killah’s ‘ Supreme Clientele’ ended his Top 10.
