The mother of a brain dead child in California has said her child has started to make improvements. The 13 year old was pronounced brain dead after having tonsils removed. Read more after the jump.

Doctors say that these sudden movements doesn’t mean she’s will make a full recovery, it’s can just be reflexes.

Jahi still can’t speak or squeeze her mother’s hand. Neurological experts said that those signs of life could just be reflexes that don’t necessarily mean that the girl will make a miraculous recovery.

Nailah Winkfield has given up her life to make sure her daughter make a full recovery. She says in her idle time she only reads the Bible

“Literally,” Winfield said. “That’s the only book I read.”
