Bachelorette contestant, Eric Hill died during the filming of the show after a paragliding accident in Utah. The production team is extremely devastated after hearing the news. Read more on the tragic story after the jump!
Eric Hill’s sister confirmed his death in a Facebook post. Eric was one of the show’s most recent contestant. The production team of “The Bachelorette” is still in shock over the incident. Mike Fleiss, the show’s creator, told E! News, “We’re all just devastated…he was such a vibrant young dude. It’s tragic.” Eric was competing against other men for the Bachelorette’s leading lady, Andi Dorfman. The paragliding event went very wrong when it apparently collapsed and Eric had to be hospitalized in critical condition.
Eric’s sister says he shared his final journey with his immediate family when he passed way. Fleiss said, “he was such a young guy who lived life to the fullest…I couldn’t believe it when I heard. I’m still in shock. We’re all in shock. This transcends everything, certainly a television show.” The Bachelorette, which is in its 10th season is still filming and will premiere May 19.
