I truly hate that reporters are allowed in locker rooms right after a game, especially with the team that lost. Players are on edge and more emotional than normal after a tough loss and its not fair that reporters are allowed to shove mics in their face and get a quotable and ask questions that you know they don’t want to answer at the moment. Then when the players don’t come off so friendly they get looked at as the bad guy when that really isn’t the case. James Harden was answering questions from reporters after the Rockets lost game two against Portland and he wasn’t feeling how one guy approached him.

Now you don’t see it on camera, but the guy who asked Harden about him shooting 14-47 right around the 1 minute mark of the video felt the wrath of the beard when the cameras were off.

A few minutes later, the questions stopped coming, but not before Harden, evidently still aggravated, circled back and spun the questioning to the aforementioned reporter, taking issue with his basketball credibility.

“You’ve never seen someone shoot 29 percent in two games? You must not watch basketball.”

The longtime reporter responded that he’d watching basketball longer than Harden had been alive. And that Harden should be held to a higher standard because he is All-NBA.

“Weirdo,” Harden said, before walking out of the room once Houston’s PR staff stepped in.

According to reports, Harden looked like he was about to go off on the dude but smartly members of the Rockets staff walked him out of the room.
