Ray Albers was forced to resign from the St. Ann police department after the footage leaked of him shouting and pointing an assault rifle at unarmed protestors. The 20-year police veteran was given the option of being terminated or resigning and he chose the latter.
According to Chief Aaron Jiminez, Albers was “totally justified” in shouting “I will f**king kill you,” to protestors after having urine thrown on him, spotting three male protesters with bandanas(one holding a gun), and hearing gun shots before the camera started rolling. However, Jiminez added that “He does not condone his behavior whatsoever.”
