This unfortunately is not a good story to tell, but it must be addressed. Earlier this week NFL kicker Rob Bironas was thought to of died in a tragic car accident when he lost control of his SUV. Details are now emerging though about what really happened and there are 911 calls to confirm the true version of events. It appears Bironas himself was trying to run people off the road and he wound up being the one to lose control. Hit the jump.

Bironas, 36, died Saturday night after he lost control of the SUV he was driving while traveling at a high rate of speed. Police said there was no evidence of alcohol or drugs at the scene, but more information leading up to the tragic accident is coming out now. According to The Tennessean’s report, the woman told police Bironas was driving erratically and was “dangerous,” telling the dispatcher that when she and her husband pulled over to let him pass, Bironas stared them down before speeding away.
“He is dangerous, he is drunk or something. He tried to start a fight with us,” the woman can be heard saying on the 911 call. “My husband ran down there to see what is going on. I just want to tell the police there is something wrong with him. He is dangerous, he is drunk or he is on drugs. There is something wrong with him. He gave us a mean look. We don’t even know him, and he tried to run us off the road.”
According to The Tennessean, Bironas attempted to run another car off the road, threatening to kill a car full of Belmont University students and trying to sideswipe their vehicle. Student Connor Fraley told The Tennessean he was a passenger in a pickup truck that was driving behind Bironas’ SUV when he noticed a burning smell coming from Bironas’ vehicle.
“His window was down, and we pulled up and I said, “Hey man, just a heads up, something’s burning from your exhaust. Your exhaust smells horrible, just wanted to let you know,” Fraley recalled telling Bironas. “He looked over at me and said “I’m going to kill everybody in your (expletive) vehicle. It was so random, so bizarre I was like, “What?” And he said the exact same thing again.”
This is truly a sad situation to have to hear something negative like that after the person has passed away. It definitely seems he was dealing with some type of psychological issues. His wife, daughter of former NFL great Terry Bradshaw said they didn’t have a fight and everything was fine but she was shocked to find out he had left the house without even telling her.
