Jessica Chastain

This week Malala Yousafzai became the youngest recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize at 17 years old. Yousafzai is known for her fight for the right of young girls and women to receive an education, something that was outlawed by the Taliban in her community. See more below!

Due to her blatant defiance of Taliban law Yousafzai was shot in 2012. Since her miraculous survival she has become internationally iconic. She is only the second Pakistani to receive a Nobel Peace Prize, the other was in 1979.

Oscar nominated actress, Jessica Chastain, tweeted in support of the Malala Yousafzai’s much deserved award. Chastain does charity work for women’s rights as well.
