On Wednesday night the Oklahoma City Thunder faced the Washington Wizards and one thing that was on everybody’s mind (pregame at least) was the KD2DC movement.  Kevin Durant won’t become a free agent until 2016 but with the emergence of the Wizards being a great team and with LeBron getting everyone on a “going home” kick, many have speculated and pushed for Durant to play in D.C.  Though the superstar remains coy about his future plans, there’s no doubt that he’s heard the rumblings going on and last night he had no choice but to face them.

Kevin Durant on the “KD2DC” movement: “It’s cool. It’s cool, man. It’s cool.”  But he still remains loyal to OKC and went further in depth, via ESPN:

“I’ve never thought about it, to be honest,” Durant said of playing for the Wizards. “I mean, I hear it in the summertime. I heard it for the first time this summer. That’s when it started heating up. I love playing for Oklahoma City, man. There’s just a certain level of pride that I have when I play with that Oklahoma City on my chest.

“So that’s the only thing I’m focused on. Everybody knows that I represent where I come from that no matter where I play at, no matter what arena. But I’m just focused on playing with Oklahoma City. It feels like home now. That’s where I am.”
