Brandon Smith and Tyfine Hamilton, who are both 15, are facing murder charges in the death of James Stuhlman. Stuhlman was shot and killed by the teenagers while he was walking his dog in Philadelphia. After playing basketball, the two teens and a 14-year-old boy fired multiple rounds killing Stuhlman, 51, as he was pleading for his life, authorities said. Police Captain James Clark told reporters, “At one point, he did plead for his life…He said, ‘Please don’t shoot me, please don’t shoot me,’ and they still shot him one more time.” Cops caught Brandon Smith and arrested him on murder charges, but they are still looking for the alleged triggerman, Tyfine Hamilton. Clark said that he is considered “armed and extremely dangerous.”

The 14-year-old faces lesser charges and has cooperated with detectives, police said. The three boys were searching the streets for their next victim. They first saw a younger man but settled on Stuhlman because he seemed like an easier target with his dog. Stuhlman usually brought his 13-year-old daughter with him on his walks, but on that night he decided to go alone. The married father struggled briefly with the young boys before Tyfine allegedly opened fire on him. Cops found him still holding the dog leash and a flashlight, while his dog laid trembling next to him. Police raided a home where the boys lived and confiscated handguns and assault rifles, authorities said. The Philadelphia Inquirer spoke with Tyfine’s father, who claimed his son was a “habitual truant.” He stated, “If he would listen, then he wouldn’t be where he’s at.”

Cops said the boys didn’t even get anything from Stuhlman before they took off running. Clark said, “For no other reason than these kids wanted to rob somebody, he ended up losing his life…His daughter will never see her father again. That is really sad.”
