Keke Palmer will be singing, dancing and wearing our favorite pink jacket! The “Scream Queens” star is set to play Pink Lady Marty Maraschino on Fox’s Grease remake Grease: Live in January 2016. Find out who else is set to be in the exciting ensemble cast after the jump.
Keke will star as Marty Maraschino along with Julianne Hough as Sandy, and Vanessa Hudgens as Rizzo. Writers Robert Cary and Jonathan Tolins are set to write the script. Grease: Live is based on the original musical Grease by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey, and the Paramount Pictures’ 1978 film adaptation starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John.
Keke became the first African-American and the youngest actress to star in Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella on Broadway. Keke is also a veteran actress at the ripe age of 21. Her credits include Ice Age: Continental Drift, Joyful Noise, and Akeelah and the Bee. As per television her she has starred in A Trip to Bountiful, Full Circle and CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story. Keke stars as “Zayday Williams” in Fox’s new horror series Scream Queens this fall.
