Empire’s Taraji P. Henson made the big announcement on Friday after a fan asked about the show’s return on twitter. The second season of the Fox 5 hit show will premiere on Wednesday September 23rd. The Empire cast has had their hands full since the finale of the first season this past spring with performances , sweeping the Emmy’s and holding it down at plenty other events.
