It has definitely been an interesting week thanks to Meek Mill. Meek previously accused Drake of having a ghostwriter by the name of Quentin Miller and today, Quentin finally breaks his silence on the matter.

Ironically, if enough research was done, anyone would have been able to see that Quentin Miller is credited on several projects that Drizzy has completed. Believe it or not, it really is not uncommon for an artist to get ‘help’ or ideas pitched to them while writing.

With that being said, I think it does Drake some justice that Quentin finally spoke up and put Meek’s accusations to bed. In a tumblr post, Quentin explains his relationship with Drake and absolutely denies being a ghostwriter for him, “I watched this man piece together words in front of me…I watched him write…I witnessed him light up and go in and freestyle Madonna.” Meek’s apology to Drake is making a lot of sense right now.

Quentin does not stop there, however, he also says, “I remember him showing me the thank you notes in NY before the album dropped..Showing me the QM, telling me they put me on the credits (Ghostwritter ???)…I am not and never will be a ‘ghostwriter’ for drake…I’m proud to say that we’ve collaborated…but I could never take credit for anything other than the few songs we worked on together…” and it was definitely a mouthful. Meek put these vibes in the air that will ultimately have people questioning Drizzy’s entire catalogue, unfortunately, but maybe after reading Quentin Miller’s response people will have a change of heart? I’m sure some won’t

There are just some stories in Drake’s music that seem so personal, it just does not make sense that he would have a ghostwriter. Although Drake has not directly responded to the allegations against him, I wonder if he will at some point? I do recall him once saying, “Diss me and you’ll never hear a reply for it…” so maybe the idea is far-fetched. Nonetheless, a rebuttal would definitely make for some good content–whether it is in a verse or via some other outlet.
