On this day, August 4th, one year ago, Nicki Minaj dropped her hit single ‘Anaconda’ from her Pink Print Album . Today, one year later, in honor of the song, Madame Tussauds wax museum unveiled their heavily anticipated wax statue of the rapper. The wax figure is modeled after a scene from the ‘Anaconda’ video. Since the museum announced they would be having a Nicki Minaj statue in their Las Vegas location and gave us a sneak peak of what it would look like, people were complaining it didn’t look like Nicki. However, now that it’s finished I think they nailed it. Hit the jump to see more.

Nicki Minaj was so excited to find out that Madame Tussauds actually made a wax figure of her. She posted a couple videos on her Instagram account that were submitted to her by fans. She said, “YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO WTF?!?!?!?!??!?? Had no idea they were really doing this.” she added, “I would’ve went to Vegas for this. #HappyBirthdayAnaconda Madam Tussauds Wax Figure- whoever did this”

Nicki thanked the museum calling the figure “so iconic” and applauding them for even having the backup dancers on hand for the unveiling. Check out the videos below.
