Pre-injuries, Derrick Rose was a sight to see on the basketball court; quick, explosive and dominant. Since suffering back to back knee injuries Rose is now relying more on skill than athleticism but from time to time we see some of his explosive nature return and people keep declaring “Derrick Rose is back”. Unfortunately it was never sustained each time and the phrase is now always followed with skepticism as it will now.

Russell Westbrook said Derrick Rose looks like “the old Derrick Rose”. Trainer Rob McClanaghan said Rose and RW are “neck and neck again”
For those skeptical about Russ and Rob McClanaghan saying Rose is back to his old self, you certainly have reason to be.
Maybe Rose will prove everyone wrong this time. We’ll always hold on to that bit of hope.
