Despite the fact that Floyd Mayweather is promoting his upcoming fight against Andre Berto as his LAST, interest has been extremely low.  There aren’t many people talking about the fight and there’s still thousands of unsold tickets.  So how is the usually cocky fighter feeling about all this?

Floyd faced the media Tuesday where he was asked straight up if he was worried about the shocking lack of interest in the Sept. 12th bout with thousands of tickets still unsold.

“I just try to stay positive and keep my fingers crossed and hope for the best,” Mayweather said.

Floyd then kicked the question over to Mayweather Promotions CEO, Leonard Ellerbe who said the slow sales are NOT concerning at all, “normal business.”

Despite what he says I just can’t see this being Floyd’s last fight.  It’s assumed he’ll beat Berto and go up 49-0; I don’t think he can pass up one more fight after that.  He’ll have the chance to go out 50-0, plus his deal with Showtime will be up which means he’ll be a free agent and can set up a mega fight for tons of money.  As for who his opponent will be… well his true last fight needs to be someone big to help garner interest and that would certainly happen if he fights Gennady Golovkin aka GGG.  The problem there is agreeing to a weight class.
