Tristan Thompson ended his standoff with the Cleveland Cavaliers and agreed to a five-year, $82 million deal.  The Cavs initially offered a five-year, $80 million deal but Thompson wanted a max contract of $94 million.  After weeks of posturing they finally came to an agreement.  Though the Cavs technically won in the standoff, most still consider it to be quite a large contract considering Thompson’s production.  One of those people includes Sacramento Kings star DeMarcus Cousins.

Following the news of Thompson’s new contract, Cousins tweeted out his shock.  He didn’t explicitly say Tristan’s name but it wasn’t hard to draw the conclusion. Cousins is currently on a four-year, $62 million contract with the Kings and he’s their franchise player while Thompson will resort back to being a back up now that Kevin Love is healthy.

A fan responded to Cousins and told him why he isn’t that paid.  Check out his response.
