Recently, a teenager named Ahmed Mohamed was arrested at his Texas school after his teacher believed his home-made clock was a bomb.

According to his attorney, Mohamed and his family are suing MacArthur High School for a total of $15 million dollars after he wad taken out of his school in handcuffs.

Aside from the $15 mil, the parents of Ahmed are also asking for a public apology from Mayor Van Duyne and Police Chief Larry Boyd for the embarrassment and inconvenience that was called.

His lawyer penned a detail letter stating:

“Ahmed never threatened anyone, never caused harm to anyone, and never intended to. The only one who was hurt that day was Ahmed, and the damages he suffered were not because of oversight or incompetence. The school and city officials involved knew what they needed to do to protect Ahmed’s rights. They just decided not to do it.”

Hopefully Ahmed and his family get the compensation they deserve to make this situation right.
