A group of United States Army troops and “a rescue helicopter flight crew,” according to Fox News, find themselves ducking for cover in Marjah, Afghanistan as the helicopter that held them was shot down into a compound.

The troops, as well as the lifeless body of a soldier killed earlier on Tuesday; and two additional wounded soldiers are trapped inside the compound as the Taliban continue to fire off their weapons.

“On the map there is one green dot representing friendly forces stuck in the compound, and around it is a sea of red [representing hostile forces],” an Army official.

The group, who have been in the compound for hours, must continue to wait out the night before they can be rescued.
