Andre 3000 finally comes clean about some new music he’s been working on, as he’s known to dead any rumors that a full length LP could see the light of day. Hit the jump for the full story.

Almost 10 years ago Outkast dropped Idlewild – the soundtrack to their movie of the same name…and yes it has been that long since we’ve got any Outkast or Andre 3000 music besides a couple guest appearances.

Well all that could change, as Dre sits down with Billboard and discusses what’s been holding him back from releasing music:

“I’ve been holding back for a long time, so now I’m really interested in figuring out some type of music to do. I’m always recording. I can’t say that I have a target right now. I’ve gotten in trouble before for saying when or what is coming, so I like to just kind of let it be. I’d like to put out some kind of music project, but we’ll see.”

He also went on to say that he really likes Kid Cudi’s critically bashed Speedin Bullet 2 Heaven album:

“The new Kid Cudi album (Speedin’ Bullet 2 Heaven) is awesome to me. That’s kind of like the most recent thing that I think is really great. But other than that I’ve kind of just been working in the studio and listening to what I’m doing.”

Could that be any indication as to where Dre is musically? I guess we’ll just have to keep on keepin on…
