Questlove is set to drop a new kind of food book; somethingtofoodabout: Exploring Creativity with Innovative Chefs with Ben Greenman. The book is all about art, craft, creativity and food, and features fascinating conversations with ten inspiring chefs on what makes their creative clocks tick.

somethingtofoodabout takes readers around the country: from NYC (where Quest is currently based,) to up-and-coming culinary hot-spots like Austin and Philadelphia (the city of his birth). The Roots frontman also goes west to Los Angeles, north to Portland and south to New Orleans, speaking with chefs about their personal histories, their creative processes, and their insights into innovation in food.

Punctuated by still-life photography by Kyoko Hamada, and a foreword by Anthony Bourdain, somethingtofoodabout introduces us to the hidden things that influence some of America’s best chefs, and sparks our own curiosities about food as a cultural experience.
