During a recent interview with Vogue, Rihanna dishes out a lot of information that we as fans want to hear about. With the release of her new album ‘ANTI,’ Rihanna speaks on why we had to wait so long to get an album from her, the alleged beef with Beyonce and also her current relationship status.
As far as a relationship goes, Rihanna is not currently seeing anyone. She says,
“My schedule is so crazy right now . . . It’s definitely going to be a challenge when I do decide to pursue a relationship . . . but I have hope!”
There was also an rumor that stated Rihanna and Beyonce were beefing. With ‘Formation’ dropping the same week as ‘ANTI’ people assumed there was some sort of competition going on. The Bad Gal RiRi says that was never the case.
“Here’s the deal. They just get so excited to feast on something that’s negative. Something that’s competitive. Something that’s, you know, a rivalry. And that’s just not what I wake up to. Because I can only do me. And nobody else is going to be able to do that.”
We haven’t seen an album come from Rihanna in a while. The tiger says she wanted to take some time off just to do what she wanted.
“I wanted to have a year to just do whatever I want artistically, creatively. I lasted a week.”
Paparazzi caught Rihanna going into the studio and assumed there was something in the works.
“. . . and my fans were like, ‘Oh, yes! We’s droppin’ a single.’ ”
The singer said she wanted to give off a new sound which she believes she created with the ‘ANTI’ album. She got bored with the normal pop songs and wanted to do something different. As for ‘Work’ Rihanna says she spoke in the way that they speak back at her home in the carribean. The video was nothing more than a depiction of hoe things are back in her country.
“You get what I’m saying, but it’s not all the way perfect,because that’s how we speak in the Caribbean. . . we would go to in the Caribbean and just dance and drink and smoke and flirt.”
