Late last week, Blac Chyna and Rob Kardashian announced that they’re expecting a child together, doing so by posting a photo of a pregnant Chyna emoji. This also set the stage for the announcement of Chy’s new emoji pack dropping tomorrow (May 10,) but apparently, this wasn’t how she was hoping to make the big reveal.

According to a statement from Chy’s rep (which I believe is her lawyer-turned-manager, Walter) to PEOPLE, she was forced into announcing the pregnancy early:

“She would have preferred to have announced it on Mother’s Day herself, but her hand was forced. But allegedly the other half of her family leaked her story so she had to announce it.The only people that knew from Chyna’s side was myself and Amber. Her mother didn’t even know. [Chyna’s] moment was taken from her, which is really sad.”

They get it, though, as he added: “It’s the business. There’s a TV show to promote.”
