This upcoming NFL season is the time for Robert Griffin III to prove himself.  He had a breakout rookie year with the Washington Redskins, he set records for highest passer rating by a rookie quarterback (102.4) and highest touchdown to interception ratio (4:1).  He also won the Offensive Rookie of the Year award and took the Redskins to the playoffs.  Things went downhill afterwards.  Griffin tore his ACL and LCL; he began to play in less games, was then demoted to second and third string before not playing at all in the 2015-16 season after which he was cut by the Redskins.  He eventually signed with the Cleveland Browns and today they announced that he won the battle over Josh McCown to become the starting quarterback for the upcoming season.

“I think when you’re going through tough times or going over hurdles in life, you always have to realize that those who don’t give up are the ones that end up winning in the end.  So as long as you don’t give up, you keep working, you’ll get another opportunity.  You have to live each day as if it’s your last.  Just try to get better as you can, control what you can, and pray that God takes care of the rest.”
