Not only was Beyonce’s ‘Lemonade’ album a huge success, peaking on Billboard at number 1 and going platinum, but her ‘Formation’ tour might have been an even bigger success.

She just wrapped her tour up with amazing acts from her husband, mogul, and rap legend Jay-Z and rapper Kendrick Lamar. On Friday, the Billboard Boxscore reported that the Formation tour sold about 2.2 million tickets and made over $256,084,556 while having 49 stops around the world. That averages to about $5.2 million and $47,757 paid attendance per show. However, the two shows that stopped in London in July made the most money. Those sold 142,500 tickets and earned $15.3 million. The most profitable tour stop in North America was in New York at Citi Field. That was a two day event that sold 73,486 tickets and made about $11.5 million.

“When you go up [on sale] and sell out stadiums, and in some markets multiple stadiums, it’s big,” tour promoter Arthur Fogel told Billboard. “I have to congratulate the great team on our side that does these things, and I congratulate her team, because it was all really well done, well set up, and well-executed all the way around.”

Way to go Queen B!
