Digital music is the wave. It worked out great for Jay and Ye releasing only digital at first to prevent early leaks. I like to actually hold a cd even though I dont use them but it appears digital is the preference with the ratio compared to physical sales. Check out the stats after the jump. Rihanna has been named the best selling digital artist, ever! According to Nielsen Scans, Rihanna has sold 47.5 million digital downloads since her first single,”Pon De Replay,” hit the charts back in 2005. RiRi’s latest banger,”We Found Love,” was downloaded enough times to leave her comfortable at #1. Congratulations to Rihanna! This is definitely a huge accomplishment!! A company called One Swoosh is sponsoring a digital billboard at I-25 and 58th Ave. that calls for the Broncos head coach to bench starting quarterback Kyle Orton for fan favorite Tim Tebow. “The Humpty Dance” is a 1989 hip hop song by Digital Underground, which was featured on their debut album Sex Packets. The single climbed all the way to #11 on the pop charts, #7 on the R&B charts, and #1 on the Billboard Rap Singles chart. The single is sung byShock G’s alter ego, “Humpty Hump”, marking the character’s first musical appearance.
