Is Paul George ready to leave town already? If your a real basketball fan you already knew the boy could ball, but he became a household name across the country during the recent NBA playoffs. He went back and forth with Lebron James, holding his own, and probably had the best dunk of the playoffs when he posterized Birdman, aka Chris Anderson. Yesterday, the Brooklyn Nets finally held their press conference welcoming Kevin Garnett, Paul Piece & Jason Terry. The move has created a huge buzz not only in the New York area, but across the country as well. You should have your brain checked if you don’t think the Nets can at least contend for a NBA title, even though I do not think they will make it out of the east. The move from Boston to Brooklyn seems to be the most emotional for Pierce compared to the others. NBA:(Video) Kobe Bryant Is Not Human!!
Kobe is seriously a freak of nature. Even as he gets up there in age, he is still one of the top 5 players in the NBA and his play speaks for itself. One of his biggest career accomplishments however could be coming back from the torn Achilles he suffered back in April. That type of injury has ended many basketball careers, besides the fact that it usually takes players close to a full year to return. But according to Lakers Vice President Jim Buss, Kobe is actually on track to play during the preseason!! That would mean he would return in only about 6 months total time! But that is why Kobe is Kobe. With his competitive nature and his heart, you can always count on him to show up! NFL: (Poll) Who Would You Rather Have?? Eli Manning Or Big Brother Peyton?
No, this is not some random NFL question. There is a reason for it. Yesterday former Giants running back Tiki Barber damn near set the sports world on fire when he said he believes Eli Manning is now better than his older brother Peyton. I personally am a Giants diehard fan and as of this moment I still can not say Eli is better, even though I wish it was true. That can definitely change over the next couple seasons though. Barber did make some good points regarding how much better Eli seems to be in crunch time when you really need someone to step up, which Eli seems to be the king of. But if we really compare the two famous brothers it is hard to compare Eli’s career stats to Peyton who seems to be on his way to re-writing NFL record books. Not too mention the high level of play Peyton showed last season coming off neck surgery and getting up there in age. It is still a good argument because fans should be able to see that Eli has the potential to finish with the better career. So with that said, let us know what you think! This was a long time coming! There is absolutely nothing appealing about the current Charlotte Bobcats franchise. They play in a dreary looking arena, the seats are half full and Michael Jordan has shown that talent on the court, does not always translate to talent off the court, like say owning a team! But things might be looking up. With Kemba Walker, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist and the addition of big man Al Jefferson, they are starting to put together something solid. However the best thing the franchise has done in a while is coming in 2014-2015. Hit the jump for more.
