NBA: Dallas Mavericks Call off Deal to Sign Devin Harris

The Mavericks and Devin Harris had agreed upon a three-year deal in the neighborhood of $9 million that would return the guard to the team that traded him away in the deal that brought Jason Kidd to Dallas back in 2008.  An injury that Harris is dealing with that will now require surgery, however, has made both parties decide to call things off for now, though it’s possible that they may re-visit the situation in the future.  Read more after the jump.

NBA: Royce White Says ‘Hell No’ to Making 100 Flights in a Season

Royce White’s anxiety problems have been well documented and publicized.  The young NBA player has made it an objective of his to spread mental health awareness as he battles with his professional career.  He and the Houston Rockets could never come to an agreement in terms of his care and after playing several games with their D-League affiliate the Rio Grande Vipers, the Rockets traded him to the Philadelphia 76ers.  As I stated before his issues are no secret so the Sixers knew what they were getting, the question is how will they handle it.  Read more after the jump.


NBA: Andrew Bynum Expects To Be An All-Star Next Season

Andrew Bynum sat out of all of last season with the Philadelphia 76ers after suffering several issues with his knees.  He became a free agent and signed a two-year deal with the Cleveland Cavaliers.  It’s uncertain if he will play right away or how effective he’ll be but he apparently has a great deal of confidence with this goal.  Read more after the jump.
