(Photos) Beyoncé, Jay Z & More Visit The Families Of Mike Brown & Freddie Gray During Baltimore Rally Concert

Following 25-year-old Freddie’s Gray’s death, at the hands of six Baltimore police officers, citizens and celebrities of all kind spread love for the city of rioting. Music icon, Prince recorded the track “Baltimore” dedicated to the city, and made the announcement that he would perform during a Baltimore Rally Concert.

The concert that took place over the weekend, was streamed via the new digital live music service, TIDAL, which is most likely what brought out Jay Z and Beyoncé for the festivities. The two lovebirds, along with Bey’s mother, Tina Knowles Lawson and well-known philanthropist Alicia Keys also showed up to the event to meet Gray and fallen Ferguson, MO teen Mike Brown’s parents.

The latest competitor against services like Spotify and Beat’s Music has been through hell and back in its first month. Although the service has the co-sign of celebrities like Madonna, Alicia Keys, Kanye West and more, there has been heavy criticism about the site’s fee of $19.99 (with another tier costing $9.99) from music connoisseurs and artists alike. Since the app has fallen off the top 700 in the Apple app store, most are wondering if Tidal will have a prominent future. The theme for the night was the classic 90s film House Party, and Swizz had the whole cast come through, from Kid n’ Play, to Tisha Campbell and AJ Johnson! Tisha and AJ even did the infamous dance number from the movie! With Kool DJ Red Alert and Kid Capri on the 1s and 2s, the Pajama Jammie Jam had the complete 90s feel, and [the very pregnant] Alicia and Swizz kept the theme going with their matching 8-ball PJs.

Over the weekend, Alicia Keys and her husband Swizz Beatz hosted a baby shower for their second child that is on the way, although they have yet to reveal the gender of their baby. Alicia rocked a long red dress with her hair in cornrows and her baby bump all the way visible, looking absolutely gorgeous. Right after the baby shower, Swizz and ex-wife Mashonda practiced their co-parenting skills as they celebrated their son’s 8th birthday party together for a Pokemon-themed party. (Awkward much?) Last night the Keep A Child Alive Black Ball 2014 was hosted by Alicia Keys honoring Riccardo Tisci, the artistic director of Givenchy. Legendary artists and entrepreneurs such as Madonna, P Diddy, Nas, Russell Simmons and more came to support the “power and potential of a generation of young people living with HIV.” Along with awesome performances, and heartfelt speeches, a SILENT AUCTION took place in which all proceeds will go toward providing life-saving HIV treatment, care, nutritious food, support services, and love to children and families affected by HIV in Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda, South Africa, and India.

The advocate for ‘We Are Here‘ and many other things took her voice, her husband Swizz Beatz and an entire group of protestors to the streets of New York City – let’s keep it in our minds.
