It’s almost been a month since Jay Z gathered is star-studded team of musicians and announced his new music streaming service Tidal. The latest competitor against services like Spotify and Beat’s Music has been through hell and back in its first month. Although the service has the co-sign of celebrities like Madonna, Alicia Keys, Kanye West and more, there has been heavy criticism about the site’s fee of $19.99 (with another tier costing $9.99) from music connoisseurs and artists alike. Since the app has fallen off the top 700 in the Apple app store, most are wondering if Tidal will have a prominent future.
