NY Governor Cuomo Considers Medicaid For Transgender Surgery
New York Governor Andrew Cuomo is considering extending Medicaid coverage to help cover surgery and therapy for transgenders. A panel of experts is currently advising the governor on how to redo his Medicaid proposal to incorporate transgenders. Health care professionals will examine the proposal and have an answer for the governor by next week.
