(Photo) Drake Covers W Magazine “I Can’t Wait To Get Back Into Acting”

From one big project to the next including, magazine covers, interviews and a mixtape, Drake been one of the biggest names of 2015. Following his most recent magazine take over for THE FADER’s 100th issue Drake landed yet another major mag and is featured on the cover of W magazine. Drizzy’s cover is everything the magazine represents “high-fashion-meets-art”, and features the Toronto rapper, reimagined by several different artists in their signature style, for the project titled, “Views From the Five.” Each artist gives their interpretation of the rapper, with designs from KAWS, Jim Joe, Mike Flood and others. As interesting as the art is to see, what is even more interesting is what Drake revealed in his interview with W mag’s Lynn Hirschberg. Hit the jump for more.

Banksy Closes The Doors At Dismaland; Plans To Relocate To France

After quite a successful 5-week run that attracted over 4,000 people a day, Banksy has officially closed the doors on his Dismaland amusement park of sorts in the UK. The park was basically a display of Banksy’s crazy art with a few rides scattered in – a grim take on Walt Disney’s much more cheerful theme park, Disneyland. I’m so bitter that I wasn’t able to see this in person, but I got excited when I read they’ll be moving the exhibit to Calais, France. “Another chance,” I thought. But then I read on…and found that it won’t be open to the public. “Coming soon… Dismaland Calais,” a statement on their site reads. “All the timber and fixtures from Dismaland are being sent to the ‘jungle’ refugee camp near Calais to build shelters. No online tickets will be available.” So, there’s that. At least they will be helping those in need!

(Photos) Fan Gifts Kanye West Dope Painting Of His Mother With North

After returning from music mogul Steve Stoute’s wedding last night, Kanye West was greeted by a fan at the door of his NYC home…but this one didn’t immediately get turned away. The fan, a burgeoning artist by the name of Perspektiv (@_perspektiv_ on Instagram), had an amazing painting for Yeezy, featuring his late mother Donda and his daughter, North. According to Perspektiv’s page, Ye (who was smiling when photographed walking away with the painting,) called his art “sick” and “dope.” That it definitely is! A quick scroll of his page shows that he recently was able to gift Rihanna with a painting as well, and she later hung it up in her NYC home and posted it on Snapchat. This guy is doing his thing out here!

“Muslim-Free” Gun Shop Owner & George Zimmerman Link Up For Confederate Flag Art

All throughout his trial, in the death of Trayvon Martin, former neighborhood watchman George Zimmerman claimed that his actions against the teen had nothing to do with race. However, his recent step in life shows that he is a look at race first and shoot second type of guy. Zimmerman links up with Andy Hallinan, a Florida gun shop owner who has deemed his establishment a “Muslim-free zone,” to sell Confederate flag art. Now, it’s no secret that the Confederate flag has been banned in many areas, following the Charleston church shooting – that hasn’t stopped Zimmerman. Find out more down bottom.

(Photos) A$AP Rocky Is A Piece Of Art, He Is!

Last week, after watching the new DOPE movie trailer, starring A$AP Rocky, I hit up his Instagram to see what other things were new – you know, aside from the upcoming release of A.L.L.A. and the release of his ScHoolboy Q-featured track, “Electric Body” release – and I came across something very unique. Colors, collaged images and things of that sort, all rolled into one great mural. So, what’s new? Pretty Flacko decided to turn his photo social media into an art exhibit … but is it working out for his fan base? Find out more after the jump.
