Big Sean won the award “Video With A Social Message” for his song “One Man Can Change The World” at the VMA’s Sunday night. Kanye West & John Legend who was featured on the track as well joined the rapper on stage. Big Sean dedicated his award to his grandmother that passed away. “I gotta thank John Legend, I gotta thank Kanye for hopping on this song because it meant so much…It’s partially dedicated to my grandma, Mildred Virginia Leonard. The Global Spin Awards is back for its 3rd annual year, honoring some of the best DJ’s in the world. At a press conference earlier this week, Kid Capri, our own Funk Master Flex, DJ Premier, REVOLT CEO Keith Clinkscales, and Rob Kenner of Boomshots and Editor at Large at Mass Appeal did the honors of announcing the nominees for nearly 30 categories of DJ Culture. The full list of nominees as well as a short clip from the press conference are after the jump. The award show will take place November 18th at the New World Stage in NYC.
