California Lawmakers Pass Bill Banning Shark-Fin Trade

California’s Legislature sent Gov. Jerry Brown a bill seeking to ban the sale, trade or possession of shark fins, over the objections of two senators who called the measure racist because the fins are used in a soup considered a delicacy in some Asian cultures. NYC Smoking Ban Extended

First it was restaurants and bars, then it was city parks, beaches and pedestrian plazas, and in 90 days, another area will be taken away from NYC smokers. Governor Cuomo signed a bill yesterday that officially bans smoking on all outdoor train platforms operated by the MTA. Ash_Bankz
