This movie is a bit of a spinoff of the fairy tale, Hansel & Gretel are now bounty hunters who track and kill witches all over the world. As the Blood Moon approaches, the siblings encounter a new form of evil that might hold a secret to their past. The rated R movie is leading the box office today and grossed $500,000 last night when it was first released in about only 2,000 locations. This one is shaping up to be a MUST SEE!
Foreign Box Office: ‘Django Unchained’ Unleashed Overseas, No. 1 With $48 Million !!!
Making its overseas debut in 54 markets, Django Unchained grossed an impressive $48.1 million — enough to earn the Oscar Best Picture contender film the weekend’s No. 1 spot on the foreign theatrical circuit. Sony, which is handling Quentin Tarantino’s movie overseas, calculates that Django opened 30% ahead of Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds, which generated slightly more than $200 million in total overseas box office, about 60% of its worldwide take. “Texas Chainsaw 3D” carved the biggest slice out of the Friday box office. Horror fans turned out in force to see the return of power tool-wielding Leatherface, propelling the poorly reviewed gore-fest to $10.2 million. “Texas Chainsaw 3D” is being distributed by Lionsgate in 2,654 locations across North America and appears to be over-performing its tracking.
