The Bronx Tale was one of the “greats” of New York based movies (Sonny’s voice). The Belmont native Chazz Palminteri, who played the crime boss in the film, has now returned to his old neighborhood to perform his one man show, “The Bronx Tale”. More than 1,300 New York commuters were trapped in a subway tunnel Friday night for over 2 hours, after “missing out on a rescue train”. The MTA said a Brooklyn bound F train suddenly came to a halt near W. 4th Street after two train cars ran over a broken rail. Allegedly a rescue train came to bring passengers out of the tunnel, but passengers refused to get on it . . .a claim many people are disputing! SMH. Really MTA? (Video) MLB: Mariano Rivera Says Tearful Good-Bye To The Bronx For The Last Time

Last night, the greatest closer in the history of baseball stood on the mound in Yankee Stadium and waved good bye to the home crowd for the last time in his career. Mariano Rivera, who has been the most reliable member of the Yankees for almost 20 years, was taken out of the game with one out left in a loss to the Tampa Rays, so the crowd could give him the ovation he deserved in the last time fans in New York will see him pitch in person. Instead of the usual manager coming to take him out of the game, the other longtime Yankees, Derek Jeter and Andy Pettitte came to relieve him and that is when Rivera got very emotional.
