Chris Brown had a slew of Fall radio concert appearances lined up for the next few weeks in promotion of his forthcoming album X, but he’s already starting to cancel because of his legal troubles. Pre-arrest, he performed at Philadelphia’s Powerhouse concert and at a Howard homecoming party, but he has officially cancelled tonight’s planned performance at New York’s 92.3 Now’s “Scream” concert. Unfortunately, since he and Danity Kane were the only two acts, the station has decided to cancel the entire show. “Unfortunately, due to recent events 92.3 NOW’s Halloween show scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 29 has been cancelled,” the station said in a released statement. Up next for Breezy is a Halloween party in L.A. on Thursday with girlfriend Karrueche Tran, which as of now is still on.
Chris Brown’s Assault Case: The Real Problem Is STILL Rihanna …Sheesh!
Word is, CB’s people aren’t too worried about the misdemeanor assault charge, they’re WAY more concerned about the impact it will have on his probation status in the Rihanna case. TMZ claims, “the charge against Chris was reduced from a felony to a misdemeanor because the victim’s injuries weren’t that severe and witness statements conflicted. The reality is — worst case scenario … Chris won’t do any time for the assault.” For the Rihanna case, the Probation Dept. will submit a report to the judge, and then D.A. will give their input and they will almost definitely ask the judge to REVOKE Chris’ probation. Worst comes to worse, if probation is revoked, Chris will do 4 years worth of time in State prison.
Wasting NO Time: L.A. County Probation Department Launches Investigation On Chris Brown
Just moments after Chris Brown stepped out of the Washington D.C. courtroom where he appeared before a judge to face charges of felony assault, the L.A. County Probation Department launched a probe into the case to determine whether or not Breezy violated his current probation stemming from the 2009 Rihanna incident. The charge in D.C. has been reduced from a felony to a misdemeanor for both Chris and his bodyguard, to which both pled “not guilty” and are due back in court for next month. However, pending the findings in the LACPD’s investigation, Chris could still face jail time if they feel he violated the probation. They will soon submit their findings to the judge, who will then make the final call on whether or not Chris will be put behind bars. The max case in this scenario is 4 years, but I doubt he will do that, if any!
Wait, Chris Brown “Victim” Motioned That He Had A Gun?!
Hmm, things are starting to become more and more clear in this case! So far, what we know FOR SURE is that Chris Brown and his bodyguard got into an altercation with two men outside of the W Hotel early Sunday morning. The incident occurred when Chris was taking a photo with a female fan/fans, and a man and his friend tried to be funny and jump in the photo. From here, there are conflicting reports. According to the victim, it was all fun and games but Chris got overly angry for no reason and said, “I’m not into that fagg*t sh*t, I’m into boxing!” and threw a punch. Seems a little outlandish to me. The police report originally stated that Brown’s bodyguard hit first, and then it was cleared up to say he hit first, but that’s still unconfirmed as of now. At 1:20pm EST, Chris Brown entered court in Washington D.C. to find out his fate after his post-nightclub brawl early Sunday morning. The hearing is currently ongoing, so there’s no update there as of yet…but what’s interesting is who he brought with him! Unlike his last court date when he had then-girlfriend Rihanna by his side, Karrueche opted to stay home this time, but Mama Breezy was with him as usual…as well as Trey Songz?! Kind of random!
