Funk Flex Speaks On Shyne’s Comments About Kendrick Lamar

As we know by now, Shyne took to Twitter last night to say though he likes Kendrick as an artist, he thinks his debut album good kid, m.A.A.d. City was “traaaash”. After watching everyone’s comments, Funk Flex decided to share his own thoughts on the situation. See what he had to say in the gallery. Marisa Mendez

(Video) Ne-Yo Comments On Roscoe Dash’s Recent Twitter Rant About Wale & Kanye West Song Credit

Last week, we all watched as rapper/writer Roscoe Dash had a bit of a Twitter meltdown, fed up with his lack of credit on songs he’d had a hand in. During a recent chat with The Source, fellow entertainer and songwriter Ne-Yo served up his opinion on the situation. He also discusses his album name change and more. Watch below. Marisa Mendez

Nicki Minaj Reacts To President Obama’s Comments

Nicki Minaj is one smart cookie. Last week when Wayne’s Dedication 4 mixtape dropped, her song was one of the most talked about tracks on the tape. “I’m a Republican, voting for Romney,” she rapped over G.O.O.D. Music’s “Mercy” beat. “You lazy b*tches are f*ckin’ up the economy.” Twitter fans, rap critics, blog sites and news programs all were dissecting the Queens MC’s lyrics, attempting to decipher if she was in fact now a Republican. One site even went so far as to search if she’s registered to vote in the NY and LA cities she owns homes in (she’s not). One person who DIDN’T comment on it all was Nicki herself. Then today, we actually got a reply from the President! Barack seemed to brush it off and see it for its entertainment value and these words finally got Nicki to speak up…and she’s thrilled. See her response below. Marisa Mendez

4 Reasons Lil Wayne Is DEAD Wrong For His NY Comments…& 4 Reasons Why We Totally Feel Him [Shout To @OldManEbro!]

Earlier this week while talking to MTV in Las Vegas at the Magic Convention (he was unveiling his new shoe with Supra), Lil Wayne said that he “flat out” doesn’t like New York. He wasn’t all hyped up, he wasn’t saying it with extreme conviction and/or hatred…he just simply said he’s not a fan of the Big Apple. Myself being a NJ native…which by default pretty much makes me a New Yorker since I work there, hang there, date there, etc…didn’t think twice about it. Wayne’s personal opinion holds no bearing on my life. Birdman came out the next day to co-sign his “son’s” feelings, but he wasn’t really saying anything bad either. He just basically said whatever Wayne dislikes, I’ll dislike it too. That’s a loyalty thing, that’s not an F NYC thing. Those that know me are going to think I’m riding the Young Money bandwagon as I have great relationships with many of the roster, but this has NOTHING to do with that. To be fair, however, I’m going to break down exactly WHY Wayne was wrong for what he said, but also, why you should cut him some slack. Thank you to Hot 97 programming director Ebro for help with the songs! In…
