Fourteen years after the death of rap icon Big Pun, an ambitious fan, Shane Rossi took it upon himself to rename the Bronx’s E. 163rd St. and Longwood Ave, Big Pun Place. The Department of Transportation was not allowing that. Less than a week later, the sign was removed. It was good while it lasted. At least Rossi was able to get his message out. Auto Talk: DOT to push for new bus driver sleep regulations?

How safe are busses? It’s a good question, and one that the United States Department of Transportation is mulling over after revising work hour regulations for truckers and airline pilots earlier this month.
