Her last wish was for some people to come by her house for a night of caroling. Her birthday was on Friday and she got her biggest wish of all, to speak to Taylor Swift. Laney and Swift video chatted. Saturday night the singers came. At first it was hundreds of people, then thousands. Then it became 10,000 people. Beautiful!

Word spread that a 41-year-old “Star Trek” fanatic with terminal cancer, named Dan, wanted to see the upcoming “Star Trek Into Darkness” before he died. The new film is not being release until May 2013 but J.J. Abrams wanted to fulfill the last wishes of this sick patient.
