Corey “Thunder” Law of the Harlem Globetrotters is a little more famous today. Yesterday, with a rep from the Guinness Book Of World Records on hand to verify, Law made the longest basketball shot in history. It happened at the U.S. Airways center in Phoenix where the NBA Suns play. The Shot was 109 feet and 9 inches. The old record was about 104 feet. Honestly he made it look pretty easy too. OK. So its not some NBA star destroying a backboard during a game, but still, its an impressive feat. The Globetrotters were playing in Ecuador this week and managed to break 2 backboards in one game.
