Just one day after being diagnosed with breast cancer, Janice Dickinson found out that the court would allow her deformation lawsuit against Bill Cosby to move forward. While speaking with reporters she says “This is a victory for all women. I will not go down.”
Janice Dickinson Diagnosed With Breast Cancer
Supermodel and reality star Janice Dickinson has revealed that she has been diagnosed with breast cancer. Sadly, this comes less than a month after the passing of her VH1 Couples Therapy co-star, Big Ang, to the same disease. (Hers was of the lungs, however.) Janice was diagnosed on March 12 after her doctor found a lump in her right breast during a routine exam, and was later found to have early stage DCIS – a common form of breast cancer that starts in the milk ducts. The 61-year-old is remaining upbeat, however, and promises, “I’ll be just fine, kiddo.” Prayers up!
MTV’s Dr. Drew Backs Janice Dickinson In Cosby Rape Allegations
Former supermodel, Janice Dickinson is currently locked into a defamation lawsuit against Bill Cosby, in which she claims he slandered her by saying she lied about him drugging and raping her back in 1982. Now, MTV‘s celebrity doctor, Dr. Drew has stepped in telling the judge if Janice said Cosby raped her then she’s telling the truth. According to TMZ reports, Dr. Drew filed a declaration in Dickinson’s suit. He explains in the documents that during the filming of 2010’s ‘Celebrity Rehab’ she revealed to him she had been raped by a “prominent celebrity” but was too scared to reveal his name. Drew goes on further to say Dickinson is an honest person, however does acknowledge she’s sometimes “overly honest … blunt and unvarnished” but all in all, “she speaks the truth.” He touches on her past addictions saying they don’t define who she is for life. He stated, “In my professional opinion, an addict may get clean and sober and become an honest and truthful person. I believe that has been the case for Ms. Dickinson.” Cosby and Dickinson will be back in court February 29th for a hearing on Cosby’s anti-SLAPP motion.
Janice Dickinson’s Defamation Lawsuit Against Bill Cosby’s Former Lawyer Gets Thrown Out
Janice Dickinson’s defamation lawsuit filed against Bill Cosby’s former lawyer, Marty Singer, has been thrown out. Dickinson filed the suit back in 2015 after Singer called a “liar” in response to a story she told during a 2014 television interview accusing Cosby of drugging and rapping her in 1982. Following the suit, Singer fired back with a anti-SLAPP motion, arguing his statements were free speech, not defamation. Tuesday, an L.A. judge dismissed the suit against Singer, however Dickinson’s layer Lisa Bloom remains optimistic. She said, “I think we’re going to prevail on the anti-SLAPP motion at the end of February,” adding, “Then the case will really begin in earnest with the depositions that we have sought with discovery and ultimately with the trial, where we’re very confident we will prevail. The primary focus of this case has always been against Bill Cosby and remains against Bill Cosby.” A hearing on Cosby’s anti-SLAPP motion is set for February 29th.

I could see Bill Cosby doing the pudding pop dance, right now. Not only was his wife’s attorneys successful with putting a deposition-where she would testify against him-on hold, but he has also had two Los Angeles sexual assault cases thrown out and now this; the defamation case against Cosby, filed by Janice Dickinson, may be kaput as well.

“Either the rape did occur or it did not occur,” were the words of Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Debre Katz Weintraub when she ruled that Bill Cosby, and his former lawyer Martin Singer, would give their sworn testimony – no later than November 25 – in the defamation case filed by Janice Dickinson, one of the many women to accuse Cosby of sexual assault within the past year.
