NBA: Dwight Howard Says He is a Winner & Kobe Didn’t Say He’ll Teach Him How to Be One

“Sources” is the most overused word in the business and it was especially thrown around a lot while we waited for Dwight Howard’s decision.  There were different reports about the teams presentations and one of the rumors was that Kobe said he’ll teach Dwight Howard how to be a winner.  Well it turns out that’s not true, in fact Dwight says he already is a winner.  Read more after the jump.

A short while after the news was official that Dwight Howard chose the Rockets over the Lakers and other teams, Kobe unfollowed Dwight on Twitter (Dwight unfollowed Kobe as well) and the Black Mamba took to Instagram with a message. NBA: Ummm, THIS Was Kobe’s Pitch To Dwight Howard?!

I had to laugh when I saw this story.  It’s just such a Kobe thing to do and wouldn’t expect anything less. LMAO.  Kobe does want Dwight Howard to stay in LA right?!  I’m not sure if this was the best way to go about it (even if he is right).  The Black Mamba reportedly told Dwight that he can teach him how to be a champion — which a lot of fans interpreted it in a much different way.  Who know though — maybe it worked? Kobe Bryant has been pretty active on his social media accounts giving everyone an inside look as he recovers from a torn Achilles tendon.  From going into surgery to removing the boot, Kobe is keeping everyone updated and he’s making progress at lightening speed.  Today he posted a pic from his Instagram account getting shots up in the Lakers gym and it looks like the Black Mamba will be back on the court before expected.  Check it out after the jump.
