Following an Atlanta performance in April 2015, Lil Wayne’s tour bus was shot up. Birdman and Young Thug were then accused of trying to kill Wayne. Jimmy Carlton Winfrey—better known as Peewee Roscoe, was sentenced to 10 years after pleading guilty to pulling the trigger. Wayne’s driver is now planning to sue Birdman and Young Thug, the people he thinks are behind it.

Lil Wayne rarely grants interviews, but when he does, he drops some major info! Sitting down with skateboarding podcast The Nine Club, Tunechi revealed that despite the C5 holdup, he will soon be dropping a project called Funeral. I actually got a preview of it while I was down in Miami in July, and he has some dope tracks on there. I didn’t know that I was listening to the project, but with every track being listed as “Funeral,” I figured it was something. Check out the full interview below, which is over an hour long. He also promises some “good news” is on the way for his fans, so maybe there’s a C5 breakthrough? Or a Roc Nation deal to announce? Hmm!

Saturday night Weezy was supposed to take over the island of Curacao with a lot of artists including Meek Mill, Rick Ross, French Montana, Fat Joe, and more. Wayne’s people are saying it’s because of breach of contract…others are claiming it’s because he had another seizure. Let’s pray it’s the former.

Birdman Calls All Settlement Talks With Lil Wayne OFF

During a show last weekend, Lil Wayne changed the lyrics on his 2008 song “I’m Me” from “I’m a motherf**kin’ Cash Money millionaire” to “I’m a motherf**kin’ Roc-A-Fella millionaire,” continuing to distance himself from Birdman and Cash Money. Apparently this has pissed Birdman off so much, he’s now called off any talks of a settlement of Wayne’s 2014 $51 million lawsuit.

Wayne has made it quite clear that he is not here for Birdman at all as he has yelled ‘f*ck Cash Money’ at many shows. Well now things have just taken a even more interesting turn. Last week, Lil Wayne appeared on Nightline for an interview, and we’ve been talking about it ever since. His comments on the Black Lives Matter movement were disgusting, and though he’s since apologized and said that he only said it because he was upset over a previous question about his daughter. For most, that’s simply not enough. Taking to Instagram over the weekend, T.I. called his friend out in a lengthy post, telling him that he really needs to step up for the kids who look up to him, and he’s happy to sever their friendship if it means that Wayne will reflect on his actions. It’s a powerful message and one I think was necessary on a public platform, but Wayne‘s response appeared to be simply, “Fk ya.”
