Rich Homie Quan Addresses Birdman/Lil Wayne Beef

Rich Homie Quan x Birdman

When the issues between Lil Wayne and Cash Money Records became public, many speculated that it could be over the fact that Birdman has been investing all of his time into Rich Homie Quan and Young Thug’s ‘Rich Gang’ movement as of late. While Mack Maine, Nicki Minaj and even Birdman have all spoke out on the status of the beef, no one has addressed the elephant in the room that is Rich Gang, but Rich Homie Quan finally has something to say.

Don’t Stress! Mack Maine Has A GOOD Update About Lil Wayne vs. Cash Money!

Lil Wayne

As we all know by now, Lil Wayne is at odds with Birdman and Cash Money Records over the long-awaited Tha Carter V. Via Weezy’s Twitter rant a little over a week ago, Birdman and CMR “refuse to release” the album, and he wants “off this label and nothing to do with these people.” He did not elaborate on why exactly he’s at odds with his longtime label, but a later update said that Birdman was “deeply offended” by the statements. He also said he has no plans to release Wayne from his contract, even being willing to go to court if that’s what it takes. He does, however, plan to release Tha Carter V at some point, but says there’s still “lots of administrative work” left to be done before it can drop.

(Photos) Lil Wayne Makes His Position Loud And Clear

Lil Wayne

Amidst all of the beef and the drama with Cash Money and Birdman, Lil Wayne took to Twitter today to make his stance clear. Last week, Tunechi shocked the world when he revealed that he and Birdman were no longer seeing eye to eye after nearly two decades working together, and that Tha Carter V was basically being held hostage.

Since his announcement a week ago now, Wayne had not tweeted until last night, when it was simply a sports related reference. However, he did make mention of the situation last Friday during a performance in Brooklyn for VICE’s 20th anniversary, saying that he was “f*cked up in a bad situation, but I will be out of it soon.”

9 Celebs Name Their Favorite Lil Wayne Song

Today, Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter V was supposed to FINALLY be released, over 3 years and many delays since the fourth installment in the now-classic series, but unfortunately, that’s not happening…and may not for a while. On Thursday afternoon, the normally private Tunechi took to Twitter to air out Cash Money’s dirty laundry, and revealed that not only is he beefing with Birdman, but that C5 is the reason behind it, so it likely won’t see the light of day until he’s out of his deal. And if you know anything about how contracts and their legalities work – this could take forever!

So, while we mourn the delay of C5, XXL caught up with 9 rappers and producers to take a walk down memory lane in Weezyville. Check out Jadakiss, Meek Mill, Lloyd Banks and more below as they pick their favorite Lil Wayne cut of all time.

As for me, I have to go with his “UOENO” freestyle from 2013’s Dedication 5. I’ve been following Wayne’s career since 2005, but this one has just stuck out to me as my fav to sing along to! Let us know what your favorite Weezy song is in the comments!

(Video) E! Releases Trailer For ‘Christina Milian Turned Up’

Christina Milian at the Dodgers game

Whether you want it to or not (I fall into the latter category,) the ‘Christina Milian Turned Up’ reality show is coming to E! on January 18th, and the network has released the first official promo. In the 30-second clip, the singer/actress basically blames her lack of a career on the birth of her daughter Violet, saying that everything was booming until she “took time off” to have her, and it came to a “screeching halt” from there. Last I checked, any hits Christina had was about a decade ago, and Violet is about 5 years old…leaving quite the gap in between. But hey, that’s neither here nor there.

Check out the trailer to ‘Christina Milian Turned Up’ below. Will you be tuning in when it premiers on E! on Sunday, January 18? I’m probably going to pass on that, although I am curious to see if Lil Wayne makes any guest appearances. According to her recent interview about their collab “Start A Fire” (which they performed at the AMA’s,) it seems like we’ll definitely be seeing him!
